INTRODUCTION

 

Mode Psychology Inc., (the "Company" or "We") is incorporated pursuant to the federal laws of Canada.  We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it by complying with this policy.  Mode Psychology provides online counselling services which may be accessed via the www.modepsychology.ca website (the “Website”).  This Privacy Policy is limited to the information collected via the Website which is used for providing general health and consumer information, for contacting the Company to pursue services provided by the Company, and for marketing the same.  Once you have contacted the Company to arrange for services, registration and all counselling sessions will be provided through a secure platform and all personal health information will be managed via a separate, secure, practice management software platform, which has its own privacy policies and terms of use.

 

This policy describes:

  • How we collect, use, disclose, and protect the personal information of our customers and website users ("you").

  • Describes the types of information we may collect from you or that you may provide when you visit the Website.

  • Our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting, and disclosing the information collected via the Website.

 

This policy does not apply to:

  • Any information disclosed outside of the Website

  • Health information or personal information collected, used, or disclosed as part of the Company’s services, therapeutic treatment, or similar (the “Services”).

  • Benefit or payment information relating to the Services.

  • Health information or personal information collected and/or recorded in the practice management software as part of delivering the Services.

 

All personal information of a sensitive nature, including health information, benefit or payment information, that is collected, used, or disclosed outside of the Website and in the provision of the Services, is maintained, managed, and processed by Jane Practice Management Software.  Their privacy practices can be found at https://jane.app/legal/privacy-policy and their security practices can be found at https://jane.app/security-and-trust.

 

We will only use your personal information in accordance with this policy unless otherwise required by applicable law. We take steps to ensure that the personal information that we collect about you is adequate, relevant, not excessive, and used for limited purposes.

Applicable law may allow or require us to refuse to provide you with access to some or all of the personal information that we hold about you, or we may have destroyed, erased, or made your personal information anonymous in accordance with our record retention obligations and practices. If we cannot provide you with access to your personal information, we will inform you of the reasons why, subject to any legal or regulatory restrictions.

 

WITHDRAWING YOUR CONSENT
